What Happens When I Hit My Monitor Limit?
Each plan has a maximum number of active monitors you can have at one time.
When You Try to Add More
If you try to add a new monitor when you've reached your plan's limit:
- You'll see an error message explaining you've hit the limit
- The monitor will not be created
- You'll need to either delete an existing monitor or upgrade your plan
When You Downgrade
If you downgrade to a plan with a lower limit and have more monitors than the new limit allows:
- Excess monitors are automatically paused by the system
- They show a "Limit reached" badge on the dashboard
- They retain all historical data but stop performing checks
- You cannot manually unpause them
How to Free Up Slots
- Delete monitors you no longer need
- Pause monitors manually (paused monitors still count toward your limit, but freeing active slots)
- Upgrade your plan for a higher limit
Re-enabling System-Paused Monitors
System-paused monitors can only be re-enabled by:
- Upgrading to a plan with a sufficient limit (they auto-resume)
- Deleting other monitors to bring your count below the limit
