Monitor Settings & Check Intervals

Each monitor has configurable settings that control how it operates.

Check Interval

The check interval determines how often Blimey pings your site. Available intervals depend on your plan:

• 30 seconds — fastest, catches issues quickly
• 1 minute — good balance of speed and resource usage
• 2 minutes, 5 minutes — less frequent, suitable for less critical sites

Pausing & Resuming

You can pause a monitor at any time:

1. Open the monitor's detail page
2. Click the Pause button
3. The monitor stops checking until you resume it

Paused monitors show a grey status dot and "Paused" badge on the dashboard.

Editing a Monitor

To change a monitor's name or URL:

1. Open the monitor detail page
2. Click the pencil icon next to the monitor name
3. Update the name or URL
4. Click Save

Note: Changing the URL will not reset historical data — it updates future checks only.
