How Often Are My Sites Checked?
Blimey checks your sites at the interval you configure for each monitor.
Available Intervals
- 30 seconds — checks twice per minute
- 1 minute — checks once per minute
- 2 minutes — checks every 2 minutes
- 5 minutes — checks every 5 minutes
Choosing the Right Interval

| Low-priority or staging sites | 5 minutes |
How Checks Are Scheduled
Each monitor has its own independent timer. Checks run continuously in the background as long as:
- The monitor is not paused
- Background monitoring is enabled
Hourly Sync
Every hour, Blimey performs a sync to refresh all monitor timers. This ensures that any configuration changes are picked up and timers stay accurate.
