Adding Your First Monitor

Start tracking your website's uptime in under a minute.

Steps

1. From the Dashboard, click the Add monitor button (top right)
2. Enter a Name for your monitor (e.g., "My Website" or "API Server")
3. Enter the full URL including the protocol (e.g., https://example.com)
4. Choose a Check interval — how often Blimey should ping your site (e.g., every 30 seconds, 1 minute, or 5 minutes)
5. Click Add Monitor

What Gets Monitored

• HTTP status code — is your site returning 200 OK?
• Response time — how fast is your site responding?
• SSL certificate — is your certificate valid and when does it expire?

Important Notes

• The URL must be publicly accessible from the internet
• Use https:// for SSL-enabled sites to also track certificate health
• Your plan determines how many monitors you can have active at once
• Duplicate URLs are not allowed — you'll see a warning if you try to add one that already exists
